I’m not going to be cliché and say “New Year, New You”,
Instead I encourage you to look back at the year in retrospect, look back at the wins, the losses, the good days, the bad days, the failures, and the successes
And remember in spite of it all God has a plan for your life and it will all work out for your good.
I know we are often taught that we must not dwell on the past, just keep looking towards the future,
Although that may be true, we must remember to look back at the past because looking back helps us grow
When we look back at our life we get to see where we were and that we made it through it all.
The best part of it all is seeing your growth, seeing how far you’ve come.
Remember that day you almost threw in the towel?
Remember that time you ALMOST failed?
What about the time you did fail?
Or the time you were lost, but somehow found your way?
Remember that day you cried your eyes out over SPILLED MILK because you forgot you had more in the fridge?
Or the time you gave up?
Looking back is good, but just remember to keep moving.
Remember where you came from, but also acknowledge that you are going somewhere.
You will be better, you can be better.
Words of advice for 2017:
Never SETTLE.
Never feel like you have to sacrifice parts of you for anyone else.
Know your worth, remember who you are and WHOSE YOU ARE.
Move into the new year with a mindset for greatness only.
Another year of life, another year of more prosperity.
Be positive and make your dreams a reality.
Strive for what you want and you will get it.!
Most importantly, remember that “GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT”
Patience my friends and remember,
Happy New Year (In Advance)! #Goodbye2016 #Hello2017

I completely agree, seeing the growth made in 2016 (for me it was growing into my personality) it’s like it took so long but here I am embracing my personality. Looking at 2016, It was a year of growth, here’s to 2017! Happy New Year! 🙂

Yes I love this! I think it’s great to always be trying to be better and make changes- especially at the start of the year- but I also think a lot of people forget to remember their achievements sometimes. Great advice.

I do believe that learning from your mistakes helps you build a better future, so in some way, looking at the past is essential to learn how not to repeat your previous mistakes and to move on. It’s was a beautiful post. I really enjoyed reading it. xx Corinne from Corinne & Kirsty
