This post stems from my previous post confident. It is time to just face “it“. Your “it” can be anything. Your job, relationship, life choice/situations, school, career, or even YOURSELF.
Look in the mirror and tell yourself that today will be the day you have a face off with fear itself. So many times we talk ourselves out of things, not realizing we are digging bigger holes…actually, we’re digging PITS that we won’t be able to escape from. The number of times I have been nervous about things I’m not used to is countless.
What I do a lot is talk to myself before I actually go and “face off” the thing I’m nervous or fearful of. I ask myself questions like:
“Will it hurt me to just do it?”
“Am I going to die after I get it over and done with?”
The answer is always no because that thing I’m afraid of doing is never as bad as I thought it would be. Honestly, 100% of the time you will still have to do that “thing” anyway, so why not just do it now! Sometimes you have to face that thing that holds you back from living up to your full potential. That thing that is stopping you from reaching the top. That thing that is in the way of you living your BEST LIFE.
- Practice and prepare.
- PLAN it.
- Research if you have to.
- Keep it real with yourself.
- Give yourself pep talks, push yourself.
- Laugh a little and relax.
- Believe in who you are and what you have to offer.
It’s not a simple task facing off something that the enemy has built to take you down alone, BUT with God on your side anything is possible. I’ve learned that by ourselves we are mere beings not capable of much until we allow God to take control of our lives, our situations and everything that may seem to keep us from becoming like Him.
Remember this: “Trusting in who you are as a person and what you stand for in the face of the world can be difficult. That doesn’t mean it is an impossible task.”

Such a great read. You are right we must face our fear because if we don’t, they will continue to hold us back. We always have to keep in mind purpose. Lovely photo!
Thank you and very very good point!
