Month: December 2017

2018 goals + free printables.

Hello my loves, I love posts like this (although it’s a cliché post) because I’m always happy and excited to see what new goals are being set in place and how people plan to reach those goals. For me I make my goals based off what needs improvement and something new that I can try to accomplish. Here are a few things I’m working towards… Blog Goals vs. Life Goals… BLOG GOALS 2018 REACH MORE PEOPLE Although I’m satisfied with my follower count, I still want to reach more people I have not come into contact with from all over the world. I want to grow my following also because I’m really passionate about my writing and I know it can help so many people. STAY ORGANIZED Every year I start off really organized and as the months go by I get lazy and I fall off. I plan to keep a schedule of posts and keep my content flowing. MEET NEW FRIENDS The blogging community is large, so why not make new friends and form …

what blogging taught me.

It’s been a great journey as a blogger and I am filled with joy every time I sit in my room and write my blog posts for you guys. This platform has given me the freedom to express my feelings and also to help motivate/inspire so many people and that in itself is a blessing. I have received so many questions from friends and associates on how they can go about starting their own blog (how amazing is it that they chose to ask me for advice?). I am humbled by this experience. Sharing who you are with the internet is one of the scariest things, but it is something that can change you for the better. Although some things remain personal, people like to know that you are relatable so in that sense it is good.                                              YOU NEVER KNOW WHERE IT MAY LEAD YOU I can recall my first few months when …

don’t let the new year scare you.

Hello loves, To be honest, when I think of starting a new year I am always excited and nervous at the same time. I’m sure I’m not the only one with these feelings, but that’s all it is…mere feelings. 99% of the time when you think about all the things there is to look forward too, the good outweighs the bad. I’m sure no one can tell me different. Every year when December comes around, the world goes crazy looking forward to the holidays and the new year, but besides that, we must always stay organized.  Why stay organized? Here’s why.  Truth be told, I’m my best when I am organized. When you are organized it means that you have a plan in order. Planning involves thought. And to be able to think things through we must set aside time out of our busy schedules to do so. So the first way to NOT let the new year scare you is to “Plan Things Out”. Plan out what you want to accomplish. Set goals for …

little ways to stay motivated every day.

Every new week I start I make sure to encourage myself that this week will be better than the last one. Are you? Well, if you’re not then this post should give you some type of encouragement to keep going strong all week, every week. I know it’s so cliché when everyone says, “I hate Mondays” because it’s such a drag or because it’s the ending of a spectacular weekend of relaxation, but maybe if we started off with positive thoughts, we’d end our week so much better! Here are a few ways to stay motivated: 1. Set weekly goals. We all have goals that we want to accomplish, whether it’s a weekly/monthly/or yearly goal so why not try hard to accomplish them? Setting weekly goals allow us to stay focused, organized and most importantly it gives us something to look forward too. I don’t know about you but when I have a checklist of goals completed I feel great and it encourages me that all is not wrong in the universe! 2. Stay positive. I …

reclaiming the word VULNERABLE.

What comes to mind when you think of the word vulnerable? For me, I think about being fully open to someone or something, and that in itself is a scary thing. Honestly, this is the time we discuss why being vulnerable is not a horrible thing in the end. Notice I said “in the end”, because in the beginning, it takes a lot of courage to even take that step in letting that void be filled or letting the filled void be seen. Did you understand that? Let me repeat, “It takes COURAGE to take that step in letting that void be filled or letting the FILLED VOID BE SEEN”. That is an uneasy task. Once that is done, you are no longer who you were before because of your life changes. How your life changes is up to you and how much you allow. Some people pick and choose how much they want people to see with the expectancy that the next person would show them all of who they are. How can you expect …
