Go Get It.

All Photos By Duran Andrae. These photos are giving me BOSS BABE vibes. She is serious about her future. This past week I’ve had a lot of “ah ha” moments, some high and low moments, and some okay moments as well. To be honest, how many of you can relate to the day to day struggle of keeping your head above water and just making it through? I can definitely. Today’s post came to mind because of some motivational speeches I’ve been listening to lately that have had me on a high. Usually, in the mornings I listen to one song that keeps me company as I get ready for work, then transition to traveling to work. However, I swapped to listening to one particular motivational speech that really gets me pumping and makes me want to actually get out there and GO GET IT! How do you guys feel about motivational speeches?  For me, once in a while, I need one as a ‘pick me uper’. Sometimes I need that reminder. As much as …

Punch Back.

*photos by Duran Andrae* CHIN UP, YOU GOT THIS. It’s a new week, new day, new vibes, new opportunity to be better, do better. This post will not be significantly long as my previous post, it gets straight to the point so keep reading. I know you are interested in knowing what this post is referring to by the title “Punch Back”, no worries..you’ll soon find out. The relationships we form on a regular basis with friends, family or even the mere strangers we meet outside are sometimes formed in unexpected ways, however, they hold some type of significance in our lives. Sometimes we are impacted by how nice someone says good morning or even the kind act of someone picking up something that fell out from our hands, but how are we reciprocating these acts of kindness? Do we forget what others have done for us and treat the next person without a care in the world, or do we stop to offer that genuine love that was shown to us? My point is …

Have no worry, have no fear.

Hello, my loves! Today’s post is a bit personal, but I aimed to just shed my thoughts and encouragement on how to cope and elevate when dealing with fear. We normally associate fear with darkness, for the mere fact that it is something that we do not welcome in our lives, however, did you know it can harbor a permanent place within your life if you don’t make a change now? Fear is something that can make you or break you.  Hear me out, That vulnerable thing you want to do keeps pressing your mind every day, but you keep ignoring it. You question yourself because you’re uncertain. You second guess yourself because your confidence is running on zero. Add a cup of fear to that equation and what do you get? A person who never take risks, try new things, do the impossible, elevates, but stay stagnant and the list goes on… I have been there. I’ve allowed fear to take a permanent place in my life. I’ve given up before even trying and …

Color Factory NYC + Tips!

Happy Colorful Sunday Loves! Okay, if you know me you know that I loooove taking photos, so it was only right that I took a trip to NYC’s pop-up “The Color Factory”! TBH, I almost missed this adventure due to last minute setbacks however, I made it! Before I jump in with the deets and colorful photos, I want to leave you guys with some motivation to keep going throughout the week! Stay tuned. Bare with me. AND read to the end. TIPS: Take one and go on for the week! There will be times where you may want to give up, but remember every time you decide to quit that there is someone out there who is wishing you do. I know, that was not what you expected to read, but it’s the truth. Not everyone who smiles in your face and pats you on the back wants to see you succeed. It does not matter how much they publicly compliment you, behind closed doors, they are want to see you fail. Keep going. …

life is unpredictable.

Hello my loves, I hope you are having a beautiful day and I hope my smile made it a tiny bit better! Today’s post is about the unforeseen expectations, situations, and trials that are constantly thrown at us in this thing called LIFE that we are living. I hope my experience can encourage someone to not give up on their dreams and change their attitude from today to take charge of their destiny. “Do not let yourself be caught up in the trap of comparison.”- Octavia Spencer This quote has been stuck with me all week because I was beginning to lose myself along the way. To be honest, I am not the type of person to compare myself to others, but lately, I found myself in a dark hole of constant attack on myself. This involved questioning my decisions, who I am, what I stand for, what I’m doing with my life etc. It’s weird for me to even come to this conclusion because my last post was encouraging you (and myself) to not …

your season is coming soon.

Happy Monday loves! Today I wanted to discuss ways in which we can move forward with the realization that our season, our time, our success is coming once we have patience and continue to trust in God. If you’re like me, you probably have a rollercoaster of emotions when it comes to situations you find yourself in and how you should go about handling it. I have discovered ways of self-talk that have encouraged me on my down days and brightened me up so that I could smile again. Sidebar | In this post I’m talking to MYSELF too, so don’t feel anyway. I don’t want to sound repetitive at all, but in my last few posts I discussed focusing on yourself and who you want to be and I encouraged you that failure is indeed an option in life, regardless of failed accomplishments. Today I am telling you that there is a time for everyone to shine. I strongly believe that there is truth to this statement. As human beings, we get impatient and restless when …

failure is an option.

Happy Sunday everyone!   Today’s post gives me such a cozy feel. Before you go crazy about the topic or move on to the next post, hear me out. I strongly can say that you will rethink opting out failure from being an option after you read this post. Here’s my take on it. You probably know this already, but let me remind you that after failure comes success. As simple as that is to comprehend, often times we tend to blur out the part that says success and replace it with depression or sadness or the END of us trying to make a change. That is our biggest setback, lack of acceptance and lack of pushing ourselves to keep going. What causes us to not push ourselves? That’s simple, we do. We overthink everything and instead of filling our minds with positiveness and expectancy of something good, we replace it with negativeness. I have been a victim of this oh too many times. Within who I am, I know that with God all things …

keep going.

They may not support you now, but keep on striving. They may not believe in you now, but keep going. They may not see the good in you, but ignore them and keep on going. You may not always feel the love, but remember there is someone who loves you unconditionally. You may feel like giving up, but remember that nobody likes a quitter. You may feel down & out, but keep pushing forward…regardless. Tell yourself today that it does not matter who or what is in the way of you reaching your goals, you can and you will be successful. You have to speak it into existence sometimes. Believe in you, believe that anything can be accomplished once you try your hardest. Failing IS AN OPTION. It’s only a stepping stone. Fail and try again. Failure isn’t something to be afraid of. “You live and you learn.” Mistakes are inevitable. Failure is inevitable. Majority of successful people had no supporters and they have failed a couple times so do not be discouraged. You CAN. You WILL. …
